Lutsiv Ihor Volodymyrovych is Honored Scholar of Ukraine and academician of Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Higher Education. He is Doctor of Sciences in Engineering, Professor and Chief of Machine Tools and Machines Design Department of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University (Ternopil, Ukraine).

Educational level, scientific degrees, academic status and awards:

26.05.1986 - 20.04.1990 – assistant and professor assistant of machine tools and tools department of Ternopil branch of Lviv Polytechnic Institute;

21.04.1990 - 14.12.1994 – chief of machine tools and tools department of Ternopil Instrument Making Institute;

15.12.1994 – 30.10.2010 – vice-rector in Education, first vice-rector of Ternopil Instrument Making Institute and Ternopil Ivan Puluj State Technical University.

From November 2010 to present he is a chief of machine tools and machines design department of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University.

In 2006 he defended his doctorate thesis on the topic “Creation fundamentals of multi edge accessories with inter tool links for machining surfaces of rotation” in specialty 05.03.01 – machining processes, machine tools and tools.

He was awarded such state awards as “Excellence in Education of Ukraine” (1997), All Ukraine Ivan Puluj Award for 2003 (2004), Sign named after “Peter Mohyla” (2007), Honored Scholar of Ukraine (2009), Honorable Charter of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (2015).

Scientific activities:

His field of scientific interests lies in the synthesis and research of machine tools and tools equipment for multi edge and multi tool machining. During the scientific and pedagogical activity he has published more than 220 scientific and methodical papers such as 4 monographs, 1 monographic reference book, 16 author certificates and invention declaration patents, 4 tutorials and manuals noted with Ministry of education and science of Ukraine stamp. He participates in more than 90 international and all Ukraine scientific and technical conferences and symposiums.
