The Department of International Economics, Management and Social and Humanities continues to strengthen its scientific potential. On July 23, 2026, the university successfully defended the dissertation of graduate student Vitalii Zhmurenko for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 05 Social and Behavioral Sciences in the specialty 051 Economics. 
The dissertation research on the topic "Foreign Trade Potential of the National Economy in the Conditions of Globalization: Theoretical and Methodological Dimension" was carried out under the scientific supervision of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Olena Zavhorodnia. Members of the one-time specialized council noted the proper scientific level of the dissertation research and positively assessed the results obtained, aimed at developing theoretical and methodological provisions and practical recommendations for the formation, development and implementation of the foreign trade potential of the national economy in the conditions of global and local challenges. Following the results of an open vote, a unanimous decision was made to award Vitalii Zhmurenko the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 051 Economics. 
The staff of the department sincerely congratulates Vitalis Zhmurenko and his scientific supervisor on a significant scientific achievement.
