Event in Kamyanske

On June 24, 2026, an extraordinary event took place in Kamyanske, involving both members of our department (Associate Professor Tetiana Lysenko and Professor Mykola Myronenko) and former and current faculty members of the Dnipro Institute of Transport Infrastructure (Hryhorii Ivashchenko (see  https://www.dnipro.libr.dp.ua/Chegorka_Ivaschenko) and Associate Professor Valentina Galatska (see https://www.dnipro.libr.dp.ua/Galacka_zhurnalistka)), as well as researchers and artists from Dnipro’s satellite city.

The event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the “Andriy” Publishing House—a creative workshop for extraordinary printing projects (see https://www.dnipro.libr.dp.ua/Vidavnictvo_knigi_hobi). This publishing house was founded in 2006 by entrepreneur and patron Andriy Ivanovych Yalov to publish unique books on local history written by local authors (see https://nashreporter.com/suspilstvo/kamyanskomu-vydavnychomu-domu-andrij-vypovnylosya-20-rokiv-316999).

The “Andriy” publishing house has released several dozen unique book titles, which have won awards at All-Ukrainian publishing competitions.

We would also like to note that Andriy Yalovyi is a 1978 graduate of what is now the Dnipro Institute of Transport Infrastructure, which is part of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology.

We wish the publishing house’s team continued creative enthusiasm in bringing to life extraordinary local history studies and fascinating discoveries by local authors!

The Sakura Fest - 2026 festival has taken place! News icon

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, the traditional event — the festival-presentation of potential educational opportunities for prospective students, "Sakura-Fest 2026" — took place along the cherry blossom alley located on the grounds of the Dnipro Institute of Transport Infrastructure of USUST.
The festival is held at the end of April or the beginning of May each year and is a vibrant career-orientation event at our university. The spring of 2026 was no exception. Each of our university's institutes did its best to present itself to future applicants and their parents.
Representing the Department of International Economics, Management, and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines of the Dnipro Metallurgical Institute, Tetiana Lysenko and Mykola Myronenko attended the event.
Interested applicants and their parents, slowly moving from one stand to another, had the opportunity to ask our department's representatives questions about possible educational offerings. They were most interested in the new specialty F4 — Systems Analysis and Data Science.
Modern information technologies are a key trend in the development of the national economy, which is why our future students are showing such interest. It is gratifying that our department is riding the crest of this rising wave.
The "Sakura-Fest 2026" festival was a success! We look forward to meeting our first-year students this September!

On the initiative of the Department of International Economics, Management, and Social Sciences and Humanities, on April 28, 2026, a quest tour titled “Code of the Future: Man, Metal, Artificial Intelligence” was conducted for students of the municipal educational institution “Educational Complex No. 66”; Gymnasiums No. 73 and No. 79.
The main story of the quest was presented by Associate Professors Alisa Kramarenko and Tetiana Lysenko of the Department of International Economics, Management, and Social Sciences and Humanities: “Today you will witness two powerful forces: the unbridled energy of molten metal and the cold calculation of robots. But remember, it is humans who unite them to build civilization. Your goal is to prove that you are capable of mastering both elements using your own intellect.”

Alisa Kramarenko begins a discussion with the students about the main legend of the quest

The first stop was the cybermetallurgy lab (Department of Production Process Automation). The students learned about the operation of mini-manipulators and models of modern automation equipment.
The department chair, Associate Professor Maria Rybachenko, gave a very interesting presentation about the department’s curriculum. She demonstrated mini-models of product packaging, a modern “smart home” model, and more.

Maksym led an interactive activity with the students called “Temperature Control”—using cards featuring the colors of heated metal. The students arranged the colored cards along a scale ranging from cool cherry to sunny white, and tried to guess at what temperature the metal forms.
