With Taras for life!
That was the title of the literary evening held on March 11, 2026, at our city’s Architect’s House.
People interested in the work of the Ukrainian people’s genius, Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko, were invited to the discussion club meeting.
The event’s host, Herman Savchenko, invited representatives from various educational institutions and organizations in the city of Dnipro to attend. First, the floor was given to Mykola Myronenko, a professor in the Department of International Economics, Management, and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines at UDUNT, who presented examples of poetry in the sonnet genre on the theme of “Taras Shevchenko.”
Next, dermatologist and venereologist Natalia Mykhailets took the stage at the "Kryk" Theater with notes from the script "Taras – A Tough Nut to Crack." It was a fully interactive performance that maximally engaged the audience.
The thoughts of Bulgarian amateur poet Vladimir Stafidov sparked considerable excitement among the participants of the creative gathering.
The performance by Dnipro-born bard Serhiy Reshetnyk, who currently resides in Kyiv, resonated deeply with the audience. He presented the audience with a series of variations on works by Taras Shevchenko, accompanied by classical guitar. In total, the master’s creative oeuvre includes over thirty works dedicated to the genius of the Ukrainian people. During the evening, the audience was treated to five or six of them, in the artist’s own exquisite arrangements.
The nearly two-hour creative gathering flew by unnoticed, leaving behind only a certain audiovisual trace.
We look forward to more exciting gatherings in the future!!
