Oleksandr YANISHEVSKY began his work in 1974. After graduating from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute (KHAI) with a degree in aircraft construction, he worked for many years at machine-building enterprises, working his way up from a design engineer to the head of a design bureau. In 1985, after completing postgraduate studies at Khai Khai, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. From 1985 to 2001, he was a senior researcher, head of the testing and certification center of the Pivdenne CB. In 2001, he was elected an academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Technology and until 2003 worked as the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Quality.
From 2003 to 2011, he was a professor at the State Institute for the Training and Retraining of Industrial Personnel (DIPOprom), in the structure of which the Nikopol Faculty of the NMetAU once worked. It was during this period that Oleksandr Eduardovich's talent and extraordinary organizational abilities were revealed, thanks to which in 2004, for the first time among Ukrainian universities, a new direction of training specialists in quality, standardization and certification was opened at DIPOprom. Thanks to his efforts, DIPOprom received a certificate for the quality management system of the educational process according to the international standard ISO 9001:2009. He also took an active part in the organization and holding of the international conference "Strategy of Quality in Industry and Education", initiated (since 2005) by Vyacheslav Khokhlov, which is still annually organized and held by the Nikopol Faculty on the basis of the Technical University of the city of Varna (Bulgaria).

Oleksandr Eduardovich's active lifestyle and professionalism were the foundation of his solid reputation as a specialist in quality systems, whose services were used by several dozen enterprises and organizations of the Dnipropetrovsk region, including individual metallurgical enterprises of the city of Nikopol, which have successfully implemented quality management systems according to the ISO 9000 and 14000 standards. Many large enterprises and organizations have used his consulting help during the implementation of lean production systems and the Kaizen philosophy. While working at DIPOprom under the leadership of Oleksandr Eduardovich, about a hundred students successfully defended diploma projects and works devoted to the implementation and improvement of quality systems, many of them later became deputy quality managers at large industrial enterprises. If we were to speak briefly about Oleksandr Yanishevskyi, the following statement would be appropriate: - He transformed the understanding of quality into the quality of life... Not only his own life, but also that of close friends and colleagues at work.
The leadership and teaching staff of the Nikopol Faculty express their sincere condolences to the family of Oleksandr Eduardovich. The bright memory of him and his good deeds will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him personally.
